Content Ownership Verification

To protect copyright owners, Video Creators, Video Producers, and customers, VideoMart may verify ownership or distribution rights before approving premium video content for publication.

Content Ownership Verification helps ensure that only authorized individuals and organizations can distribute premium video content through The Marketplace for Premium Video Content.

Verification may be required during the content review process or whenever ownership or licensing is questioned.

Why Content Ownership Verification Is Required

VideoMart is committed to building a trusted marketplace where premium video content is distributed legally and responsibly.

Ownership verification helps:

  • Protect intellectual property rights.

  • Prevent piracy and unauthorized distribution.

  • Reduce copyright disputes.

  • Protect customers from unauthorized or illegal uploads.

  • Maintain a fair marketplace for Video Creators and Video Producers.

When Verification May Be Required

VideoMart may request Content Ownership Verification if:

  • You are uploading a film, documentary, web series, or other premium video with multiple rights holders.

  • Your premium video content contains licensed or third-party material.

  • Another party reports your premium video for copyright infringement.

  • Our review team identifies a possible ownership or licensing conflict.

  • The premium video has previously been distributed by another organization.

  • We require additional information before approving your upload.

Not every upload requires additional verification. Requests are made only when necessary.

Who Can Verify Ownership?

You may complete Content Ownership Verification if you are:

  • The original copyright owner.

  • A Video Creator or Video Producer who owns the intellectual property.

  • A production house or film studio.

  • A distributor with valid distribution rights.

  • A business or organization authorized to distribute the premium video content.

  • A person legally authorized to act on behalf of the rights holder.

Documents You May Be Asked to Provide

Depending on the type of premium video content, VideoMart may request one or more of the following:

  • Copyright Registration Certificate (if available)

  • Distribution Agreement

  • Licensing Agreement

  • Copyright Assignment Agreement

  • Producer Agreement

  • Authorization Letter

  • Digital Distribution Agreement

  • Business Registration Documents (where applicable)

  • Any other legal document demonstrating ownership or distribution rights

Submitting clear and complete documentation helps us review your content more quickly.

Please ensure that all documents are complete, accurate, and clearly readable.

Step 4: Review by VideoMart

Our Review Team examines the submitted documentation to verify that you have the legal right to distribute the premium video content on VideoMart.

If additional clarification is needed, we may contact you before making a decision.

Step 5: Verification Outcome

After reviewing your submission, VideoMart will:

  • Approve the ownership verification and continue the publication process.

  • Request additional documentation if more information is required.

  • Reject the verification if sufficient evidence is not provided.

You'll receive an email notification once the review is complete.

If Ownership Cannot Be Verified

If you cannot provide sufficient evidence of ownership or legal distribution rights:

  • Your premium video content may not be approved for publication.

  • Existing published content may be temporarily restricted while the matter is reviewed.

  • Future uploads of the same premium video may also require additional verification.

Keeping Your Documents Updated

If your distribution rights change or you obtain new licensing agreements, we recommend updating your documentation with VideoMart.

Keeping your records up to date helps avoid delays during future content reviews.
