Fake Copyright Claim Policy
VideoMart is committed to protecting the rights of both copyright owners and Video Creators and Video Producers.
We encourage legitimate copyright owners to report unauthorized use of their intellectual property. At the same time, we do not tolerate false, fraudulent, misleading, or abusive copyright claims that are intended to remove lawful premium video content or disrupt another person's business.
Every copyright complaint submitted to VideoMart is reviewed carefully before any final action is taken.
What Is a Fake Copyright Claim?
A fake copyright claim is a copyright complaint that is knowingly false, misleading, fraudulent, or submitted without the legal authority to do so.
Examples include:
Claiming ownership of premium video content that you do not own.
Filing a complaint without holding the copyright or legal authorization.
Attempting to remove a competitor's premium video content through false claims.
Misrepresenting your ownership or distribution rights.
Submitting forged or altered legal documents.
Repeatedly filing unsupported copyright complaints.
VideoMart treats such behavior as an abuse of our copyright reporting system.
Good Faith Requirement
Anyone submitting a copyright complaint must do so in good faith.
By submitting a copyright claim, you confirm that:
You are the copyright owner, or are legally authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
The information you provide is accurate and complete.
You have a genuine belief that the reported premium video content infringes your rights.
Knowingly providing false or misleading information may result in action against your account.
How VideoMart Reviews Copyright Claims
Every copyright complaint is reviewed individually.
Our Copyright Compliance Team may:
Verify the identity of the complainant.
Review ownership and licensing documents.
Examine distribution agreements.
Request additional supporting information.
Review evidence submitted by both parties.
Conduct additional verification before making a final decision.
A premium video is not permanently removed solely because a complaint has been submitted.
If We Determine a Claim Is False
If VideoMart determines that a copyright complaint is false, misleading, or submitted in bad faith, we may:
Reject the copyright complaint.
Restore the affected premium video content, if it was temporarily restricted.
Issue a warning to the complainant.
Restrict the complainant's ability to submit future copyright claims.
Suspend or permanently terminate the complainant's VideoMart account for repeated abuse.
Take additional legal or administrative action where appropriate.
Protecting Video Creators & Video Producers
VideoMart believes that legitimate Video Creators and Video Producers should not lose access to their premium video content because of abusive or fraudulent copyright complaints.
If your premium video content has been reported incorrectly, you have the right to submit a Counter Notification with supporting documentation.
Our Copyright Compliance Team will review the evidence from both parties before making a final decision.
Consequences of Abuse
Misusing the copyright reporting process undermines trust in the VideoMart marketplace.
Examples of abuse include:
Filing repeated false copyright complaints.
Attempting to harass another Video Creator or Video Producer.
Using copyright claims as a competitive tactic.
Providing forged ownership documents.
Knowingly making false statements during an investigation.
Depending on the severity of the violation, VideoMart may permanently restrict access to copyright reporting tools or suspend the associated account.
Legal Responsibility
Submitting a copyright complaint is a legal declaration.
The person submitting the complaint is responsible for ensuring that all information provided is truthful and that they have the legal authority to submit the claim.
VideoMart reserves the right to cooperate with law enforcement agencies, courts, and regulatory authorities where required by applicable law.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can anyone submit a copyright complaint?
No. Only the copyright owner or a person or organization legally authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner should submit a copyright complaint.

VideoMart will investigate the complaint. If the claim is found to be false or unsupported, the complaint may be rejected, and any temporary restrictions on your premium video content may be removed.
Can someone lose their VideoMart account for submitting fake claims?
Yes. Repeated or serious abuse of the copyright reporting process may result in warnings, restrictions, suspension, or permanent termination of the account.
Will VideoMart remove my premium video immediately after a complaint is filed?
Not necessarily. Depending on the circumstances, VideoMart may temporarily restrict access while the claim is investigated. A final decision is made only after reviewing the available evidence.
What should I do if I receive a false copyright claim?
If you believe a copyright complaint was submitted in error or bad faith, you can submit a Counter Notification along with documents that demonstrate your ownership or legal rights to publish the premium video content.
